SPRING RETREAT IN FRANCE

In the recent year we have chosen to discontinue our drop-in classes at Yoga Village in Goa. We have observed that leaving the option to attend classes to students does not allow for proper evaluation of the student’s development. In order to encourage genuine students and to avoid unwanted fake seekers, we have adopted the format of retreats for teaching.

The retreats are designed to eliminate the day-to-day mundane worries of the students by engaging them in a nonstop cycle of practice. Even though there is plenty of ‘free time’ during the retreats, we wish to keep the participants very much within the zone of spiritual contemplation throughout the retreat. The retreats are one to two week events for a small group of students where each of the students gets personal and individualized attention. These events evaluate the spiritual quests and desires of each participant individually and provide practice modules to suit their exact needs. Whenever it is necessary, the past-life spiritual experience of a student is traced.

The retreat serves the needs of the students as well as our own. The students get the opportunity to ask questions and discuss their practices with Manmoyanand one-on-one. Every student can have an evaluation of their previous practices and acquire a module for future practices.

The retreat serves us to seek and find genuine seekers who we wish to teach all the way to Samadhi. Those students who continue their practices after the retreat will continue to receive our guidance without any further cost. If anyone chooses to stop their practices, we may choose to discontinue any further guidance.

The maximum capacity of each retreat is 10.

HOW TO APPLY

As we have pointed out earlier, we hold a retreat in order to find genuine students and teach them for life. It is possible to work with such an objective only when the groups are small and comprise of people with a genuine quest. In order to apply, please answer all the questions of the questionnaire honestly. Answer the question “why do you want to do yoga” elaborately. Specify your requests in clear, unambiguous terms. Avoid vague answers. Refrain from quoting references. Never forget to mention your date of birth.

Applications with vague and pink and fluffy answers will be summarily rejected. Since we take very careful study of your applications, you may not get an answer immediately. Sometimes it may take time to receive an answer. Those students who are chosen for participation are provided with the payment details to confirm their place in the retreat. We do not entertain requests for discounts in fees, etc.

  • Yoga and yogic guidance.
  • Discourses on spirituality and metaphysics.
  • Accommodation for 9 nights.
  • Breakfast, lunch & dinner.

The food served at the retreat is prepared strictly on the basis of Ayurvedic principles. Every single meal is prepared on the basis of the Ayurvedic vata, pitta and kapha conditions of the day, time, month and season. The solar, lunar and other astrological conditions of the meal time are also taken into consideration before the preparation of all meals. The wisdom behind the food equally is equally as tasteful as the food itself.

(Please bring your own yoga mats)
